There are buses and minibuses leaving from an area close to Ramses Hilton Hotel (ask for "Haram"). Those are really cheap (around 10 cents) but not very confy. Many people take a taxi (about $2). I took a cab for touring Giza, Memphis and Saqqara and I paid $20. I guess you can go by metro, too.
