Accommodation (good one, I mean) in Luxor is quite easy to find. Most of the hotels are situated on the East bank, around Sharia Mohammed Farid. The Grand Hotel, despite its pretentious name, is one of the places most popular with backpackers. It's very clean, the staff are very friendly and the terrace offers nice views. Rooms 1,2 $
